When are you going to put up a blood pressure monitor?
winning gloves please!
that would be cool to have up i would probably jump at that
Winning? Yeah fuckin right. In your dreams
12 is for bag work, 16 is for sparring, what is the point of the 14 and 18?
18's are for your heavyweights/super heavyweights and those with higher cheeto consumption.
lmfao @ BeltFanDan.... awesome!
I use 14s to spar. Mainly because I'm 125 lbs. I'd imagine 18s are for 200 people.
12, 14, 16 are for sparring or fighting depending on regulations and preference. I prefer 16 or 18 for training. Build hand speed. I actually tape weights to my 16 oz gloves for bag and mit work.
I tape bags of cheetos to mine
Aaron- any chance of getting any large gear bagsfor sale soon for all this gear I've been buying from y'all?
yes ive been looking for a big gear bag as well have not been able to fit all my new gear into my old one
i would buy one for sure
hey guys any one know where I can find a nose protector with a strap
The usual straps are made for Gonzo, but it'll work for you too.
^Fonzo The Great has a manly snout!
These were my first pair of gloves about 5 years ago. Loved them. This is a great price on them. I'd say the quality is excellent, but the padding is a little stiffer like bag gloves, instead of softer like pure sparring gloves. No problems with the velcro and the wrist support was good.
very useful info thanks !!
I did a full review on these on Sherdog years ago but that pink loving fanook Fozzy deleted it when he banned me.
Sherdog bans ftw
we need some fairtex training gloves!
Why does everyone keep mentioning knee sleeves? Did they have knee sleeves recently? FUCK I needed one.
Yea they did, ppl are mentioning it as a joke
Get off of your knees and you wont need a knee sleeve.
Plz don't be rude^^
you'll also suck at jiu jitsu...
Are these for sparring or bag/mitt work?
They are for traneing teh UFC.
Combat Sports claims that these are a Sparring Glove. About a year ago they were under the "Training Gloves" section and were supposed to be good for all facets of training (Bag, Mitt, or Sparring) Usually I would suggest Thai gloves for sparring since the shorter cuff usually doesn't support your wrist for heavy bag shots.
These gloves are too thin for me. I need 36 oz gloves so I don't knock people out with my jab.
^Is your name Phil Baroni?
No. But it rhymes with F*CK DORIS. You might have heard of me.
Buck Lorris? Cluck Florist? Tuck Boris?
righto chuck norris!!!
who's doris?
join the chorus
coin the walrus
Stan's my florist.
wait, I'M DORIS!
Shows how much of an idiot you are. The only difference in 12 and 18 is the weight. Not the padding. Dumb ass.
Are these better than my Piranha Gear gloves?
Wheres the model?
Are these Combat Sports International better than my Everlast gloves from the local sporting goods store?
anything if better than everlast gloves. get ringside, cheaper and higher quality
No way, Everlast are the best! Get with the times.
everlast equipment is not very everlasting. they rip and tear after a few days of bag work
These don't have laces. Can I really use them for Muy Tie?
No, but they will be perfect for May Tye
You must be Mexican.
I could use a tasty beverage...
thai pads!
Pad Thai is better than Thai Pad.
That was a good joke.
clever
seriously tho we need more! Ring2cage or fairtex curved would be perfect!
These look cool but I never understood the difference between thai gloves and boxing gloves
well the thumb isnt attached for starters, even padding distrubution, smaller, prob not a whole lot else
The thumb placement is different on Thai gloves, allowing an easier clinch for you. -TrialByFireMMA.com for additional glove reviews
O ok thanks guys happy I finally know now lol
Thumb IS attached but placed a little different as said above. Also, Thai Gloves are made to open more for clinching (in the finger/fist area) plus the shorter cuff to aide in getting a tighter clinch.
Actually I'm not sure about the thumb attachment thing but I know that the cuff is shorter on the thai gloves compared to the boxing gloves. That way you have a bit more flexibility to clinch.
not attached here or in the picture http://www.muaythai-fighting.com/images/twins-gloves-dragon-black-silver-2.jpg could go either way probably
6th picture shows the black leather connecting the thumb on the CSI Thai Gloves. As for Twins gloves, my pair I use everyday have the thumb attached. That picture is tough to tell for the Twins gloves, and the description doesn't help either.
That picture is definitely good intel right there.... never saw gloves without the thumb being attached
Thai gloves don't restrict the movement of the thumb so you can eat rice with chopsticks in between rounds.
Boxing glove the thumb is always attached...real sparring gloves from legit boxing companies like Grant, Title, Reyes, etc are always connected usually by solid leather material not just one small nylon 1/4" strand. Dont want your thumb broken when throwing. These are great gloves from CSI btw. Good price too.
