Whats the difference between large and medium i thought there was only one size for 16 oz

Large has a larger inner area. If you'll be wrapping with 180" wraps, go large even if you have regular size hands.

Large is for use with 180" wraps. Medium for 120" or smaller wraps. These are very good.

Somebody's on the rag. wrestling, fighting. it tests you physically and mentally. the oldest sports back to ancient Roman/Greek times. you had to think, and calculate your moves all the while thinking about your opponent's next move. Obviously someone couldn't handle it like the rest of us.

they are training gloves.. bag gloves are essentially softer than sparring gloves.. in order to protect your hands. these guys just get on here pretending to know what they are talking about//

16oz gloves are what you want for sparring. Be nice to your training partner.

The thing that tells me they are bag gloves is the plastic ring for the wrist strap. So the padding is probably denser throughout. Gloves look nice though.

as long as the glove is a 16oz your good to spar with it. rule of thumb for any adults. you sometimes see smaller kids that spar using 14oz or even 12 oz gloves, but for anyone over about 100lbs 16oz is the way to go. These gloves are perfectly suitable for sparring.

16oz and made of real leather is usually the mark of a sparring glove.

Petey, 16 oz doesn't mean its suitable for sparring. Mexican gloves in a similar way to bag gloves are dense so your opponent feels the impact, and you don't(minimally). Bag gloves use denser foams on the outer layers. You can still use them if you want, but its not ideal for sparring (especially to the face) nor friendly for your partners. Also the plastic ring can(though not likely) injure your partner; you'll never find that kind of ring on a sparring glove. Sparring gloves use much softer foam throughout. Please get your facts straight, you just lost a few cred points on this site.

yay they're deleting posts again. 16 oz doesn't mean sparring gloves. It's the denser(for bag) or softer(sparring) foams. These aren't meant for sparring. you could probably use them, but I'd doubt they feel good against your face.

The plastic rings on the inside of the glove do not make this ideal for sparring. They're probably not terrible gloves to spar with but there are much better options out there. Still a great deal for bag gloves. Take care of your training partners. Breaking them = no more training :(

I'm sure these are way better to be hit by than the cheaper everlast gloves; which I HAVE sparred against, and it isn't fun. But still these aren't meant as sparring gloves as people are saying. That said, these do look like awesome gloves for anything else.

quick questions: I can use this for sparring and heavy bag/ mitt work? Or do I need different gloves for the bag and sparring.

Also, I dont know how the sizing will work. Im about 5'7 145lbs...with pretty small hands..Do you think a medium will fit with a hand wrap?

    Sorry im a noob.

If you'll be training a significant amount, you should get different gloves for heavy bag work and sparring. You can use sparring gloves for mitt work.

    These are for bag work.

Medium will fit fine. Only thing smaller is women's/kids.
