I was hoping for sum open mits

Whats the difference between large and medium i thought there was only one size for 16 oz
Large has a larger inner area. If you'll be wrapping with 180" wraps, go large even if you have regular size hands.
I thought 16oz only came in one size aswell?
Whats the difference between large and medium?
Large is for use with 180" wraps. Medium for 120" or smaller wraps. These are very good.
Mma..the joke of sports
yeah, it's not a sport. I fully agree. <br /> Reason? Because a sport is something you play. You don't play a fight
you mean "mma... the sport that you just couldnt handle"?
good thing i train ufc, not mma :)
"Mma..the joke of sports" - The little man that has nothing better to do than hate. GTFOutta here! >=)
I got more respect for MMA stars than NBA stars :P
Somebody's on the rag. wrestling, fighting. it tests you physically and mentally. the oldest sports back to ancient Roman/Greek times. you had to think, and calculate your moves all the while thinking about your opponent's next move. Obviously someone couldn't handle it like the rest of us.
john do, ufc is an organization not something you train everyone in the ufc trains mma
john do I train UFC, Pride, Strikeforce, and for those that remember YAMMA!!!
I train Shooto
I'm pretty sure John Do was joking..
YO BIG FAN OF THE WEB SITE ... I CHECK IN EVERY DAY ... I LIKE HOW YOU HAVE BEEN PUTING UP NAME BRAND GLOVES AND SHIN GAURDS ... THESE GLOVES IN A LARGE ARE THEY THE BIGGIEST SIZE YOU HAVE ? BECAUSE IM 210 LBS AND I HIT A LITTLE HARD WHEN I SPAR SO I WANT TO MAKE SURE THE 16.OZ GLOVES ARE SUITABLE FOR ME ALL AROUND...
how can anyone go back to baseball or basketball after seeing a front kick to the dome? mma = sport, everything else is garbage
Don't use these to spar, g.i. use these for bag work.
I was joking lmao..Just thought it'd be funny to continue our inside joke.
LARGE ARE THE BIGGEST SIZE YOU GOT? IM 5' 8" 210 LBS CAN I USE THEM 2 SPAR IN?
THANX FOR THE REPLY SORRY TO LEAVE ANOTHER POST WITH THE SAME QUISTION TWICE ... FOR SOME RESON I DIDNT C IT TILL I POSTED THE LAST COMMENT ... PEACE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU GUYS GREAT JOB .... I'LL KEEP THE LOOK OUT FOR SOME SPARING GLOVES.... 1 REQUEST A TUFF BODY SHIELD... PLEEEEASE... THANX
Is it a bad idea to spar with them?
YES!!!! Unless you want to make people mad...
why would you make people mad???
so these are no good to spar in? they too hard or something? it doesnt say if its a bag glove or a sparring glove
they are training gloves.. bag gloves are essentially softer than sparring gloves.. in order to protect your hands. these guys just get on here pretending to know what they are talking about//
16oz gloves are what you want for sparring. Be nice to your training partner.
The thing that tells me they are bag gloves is the plastic ring for the wrist strap. So the padding is probably denser throughout. Gloves look nice though.
as long as the glove is a 16oz your good to spar with it. rule of thumb for any adults. you sometimes see smaller kids that spar using 14oz or even 12 oz gloves, but for anyone over about 100lbs 16oz is the way to go. These gloves are perfectly suitable for sparring.
16oz and made of real leather is usually the mark of a sparring glove.
Petey, 16 oz doesn't mean its suitable for sparring. Mexican gloves in a similar way to bag gloves are dense so your opponent feels the impact, and you don't(minimally). Bag gloves use denser foams on the outer layers. You can still use them if you want, but its not ideal for sparring (especially to the face) nor friendly for your partners. Also the plastic ring can(though not likely) injure your partner; you'll never find that kind of ring on a sparring glove. Sparring gloves use much softer foam throughout. Please get your facts straight, you just lost a few cred points on this site.
yay they're deleting posts again. 16 oz doesn't mean sparring gloves. It's the denser(for bag) or softer(sparring) foams. These aren't meant for sparring. you could probably use them, but I'd doubt they feel good against your face.
NM, post is back.
i spar with a dude who wears these gloves all of the time. i am not mad.

The plastic rings on the inside of the glove do not make this ideal for sparring. They're probably not terrible gloves to spar with but there are much better options out there. Still a great deal for bag gloves. Take care of your training partners. Breaking them = no more training :(
I'm sure these are way better to be hit by than the cheaper everlast gloves; which I HAVE sparred against, and it isn't fun. But still these aren't meant as sparring gloves as people are saying. That said, these do look like awesome gloves for anything else.
how bout sum HAND WRAPS to go with all the gloves that have been selling????? elastic "mexican" hand wraps to be more precise.
200" or over to be even more Precise :)
a 2 pack...or 3 pack....something like this.... http://www.badboymma.com/Boy-Pro-Series-Hand-Wraps-p-16267.html
GREAT IDEA!!!
I second that, some more hand wraps would be awesome.
200" ???? really? reyes makes the longest and it is 192" the only ones that are 200 or over are junk ones
those badboys are junk...
Been thinking the same thing. 180' Mexican would be nice.
180" ftw.
You are some cheap bastards. Hand wraps cost like 7 bux. Why waste a deal on those? Cheap bastards.
seriously! keep the big ticket items comming on here. handwraps are cheap as hell wherever you buy them.
THe only way to have a deal on wraps on mmahq would be if it was a crate of them. Do not waste deals on frivolous items like that.
no handwraps
I agree with Pete, but I have to defend the Badboy handwraps - they're really comfortable and last a long time.
It's going to cost more for handwraps because of shipping. Handwraps are cheap, why would you want to pay and wait for shipping when you can pick some up for 8 bucks somewhere?
Are these the Elite bag gloves? They don't look like the training gloves...
Yea I think bag...Great price though!!!
Just a Heads UP!!! These are the Bag Gloves and I have a surprise for everyone - They are the exact same glove as the Ringside IMF Tech bag gloves just 16oz, which cost more than the techs... What a great price - Thanks MMAHQ
man these gloves are sick too bad i just bought a new pair couple weeks ago
If I wasn't madly in love with my Boon Sports pair, I would probably pick these up.
first
winning
second
I just bought gloves like two days ago off here!
DAMMIT I wanted to put "winning". I hate you.
third
In for a pair...
bunch of morons worried about winning...
these get my tiger blood flowing...
quick questions: I can use this for sparring and heavy bag/ mitt work? Or do I need different gloves for the bag and sparring. Also, I dont know how the sizing will work. Im about 5'7 145lbs...with pretty small hands..Do you think a medium will fit with a hand wrap? Sorry im a noob.
If you'll be training a significant amount, you should get different gloves for heavy bag work and sparring. You can use sparring gloves for mitt work. These are for bag work. Medium will fit fine. Only thing smaller is women's/kids.
