wouldn't let anyone in my gym wear anything with a zipper like this, too much of a chance for needless injury

They really don't look like they fit right. There's too much material around the ankle. Maybe the model is wearing the wrong size I don't know.

I have these. They're very secure. The bottom of the neoprene is reinforced so it doesn't rip like most other shin instep that have a neoprene sleeve.

those are absolutely not the same as the combat sports shin guards...thats like comparing a kia to an infiniti

lol agree that Infiniti with different colors and logos but with added feature of safer and convenient zip closure and durablity of overall product which you would not see in combat sports shin guards since I own both

actually faggot, they use completely different manufacturers! and the joke about cars is obviously above your level of comprehension. kia was used, as it is a piece of shit car, and then you have the opposite side of the spectrum which would be an infiniti. the ring to cage guards are the kia and the combat sports would be the infiniti. No SHIT Nissan is the lower model of Infiniti, doesnt take a genius to know that! and im gonna crack jokes at you because you are completely oblivious!

Interesting design, but I am not a fan of that huge zipper down the back. Seems like you can needlessly hurt your training partner.

And I think the zipper is down the outside right where checked kicks can land.

the zipper is nowhere near where anyone should be striking and doesnt look dangerous. If it bothers you that much just tape the zipperhead down which is the only part that cold possibly catch someone

The zipper is on the inside of the leg where it won't impact.

As I recall the name of the item is GelTech "Grappling" Shin Instep meaning you grapple with those as well, I don't want no jackass cutting my back or me cutting someone else because of some silly zipper. Also if I kick his right leg but him instead of blocking steps back (like most people do) I will be catching the inside of his left leg.
Zipper is the downside of this bad ass looking shin guards.

If I didnt have a shelf of various Shin Guards and Gloves already I'd pick up a set. Good price, interested to hear a review from someone that bought them how they hold up.

P.S. if I'm a "vip member" shouldnt I have been able to see this deal at 11:30 and not midnight...it was still showing clinch gear shorts when I logged in.

Even with the zipper on the inside, for a "grappling" shin guard you won't want anything resembling a zipper to slice your training partner.

Yeah. I've bought some things, too. Can I be VIP? I'm usually up at 11:30, but not 12. 30 minutes of more or less sleep can dictate whether or not I have a shitty day the next day. TRUE story.
