Quick contest right now - http://www.facebook.com/mmahq
Can we have some focus mitts? You know, the quality ones :D
I always get swept. Do you have achilles guards?
If you got a message earlier that said you cannot post because you were banned, ignore it. It was a system error that's been resolved.
Oh okay, I was like "wtf did I do wrong" (in an Arnold voice)
From Combat Sports Website: "Traditional style shin instep guards utilize an ergonomic shape for improved fit with less shifting. Features include: Dual hook-and-loop closure that secure the position, Elastic piece on the foot stretches to fit on any size foot and hold snugly, Synthetic leather construction for resiliency. Includes an additional $2.00 shipping charge. $69.95." FYI: They are traditional Kickboxing Shin-Guards... which at my gym no one wants if they are training MMA. All you Muay Thai guys might like these, as they claim to shift less.
Are they good for box kicking? I'm not a huge fan of kick boxing
They are great for box kicking! When my Xbox broke for the fourth time and displayed it's 3 red lights like the other times, I put these on and kicked it multiple times. My shins were still intact...the xbox...not so much!
the one's in the picture do not have a hook and loop closure on them as it says they do in the description, that's plain to see. are the ones you are selling different from the ones in the picture?
The ones in the picture are what you get. Hook and loop is the generic name for Velcro.
Do these include shins?
No, but you can probably buy for an extra fee buy splints for them...
^ were you trying to subliminally make us buy something? buy, buy, buy, buy

These are made from real lobsters!
These go really well with my sideburns
I started the sideburns gimmick, let it be known.
I'm Spartacus and started the sideburns gimmick, let it be known.
Let it be known that Sparatcus' sideburns were a gimmick
and let it be known that you're a goblin and you need to fix yourself a nice big glass of shut up juice
let it be known, I will grow some sideburns on my legs to go along with my new shin guards
Let it be known that 1:12 fixed himself a nice glass of shake-it-up juice, thou diggith?
Got mine...Here is the price in MMA Warehouse http://www.mmawarehouse.com/Combat-Sports-Ergonomic-Shin-Guards-p/csi-1135.htm
Are these good for my ballet class...errtrr my sister's ballet class I MEANT to say!
Let us know Artie if you like to party
Artie took a big farty with that brutal comment
I really need the shin guards and I hope that I don't get 3 orders at my house for trying 3 times to place the order. I keep getting error!
stop using your commodore 64
I used my nintendo 64 to order
Click "Tracking" on the top of the page and see if you can find the order. If not, it didn't go through. Do you see any red text on the page after you try placing the order - that will be the explanation of why the order isn't working. If you don't see a message, try clearing your cookies and restarting your browser before placing your order again.
what are the recommendation on sizing?
I hope these fit my massive thighs
...a friend of mine has these in M and they dont fit me. The upper part of my calf measures 16.5". I have L in another brand and they fit just right. Hope this helps.
On Hayabusa's everyone told me to go with the larger size because I'm tall and have big feet, however I have small calves. When I got them they fit great in length, and fit my foot great, however It just barely fits my calves. If my calves were any smaller it wouldn't fit at all. So in my opinion if you have skinny calves you really need the medium
Score, i got it! I have CSI MMA shin guards which are great but are a b**ch to take on and off b/c they fit like compression gear. These should work much better for Muay Thai. And they're $70 on CSI's website. Sweet!
How does combat sports gear compare with built to fight gear?
I bought one, and they didn't even need to show me a naked model. (Not that I'm complaining.)
No Shipping to Canada ... BOO!
what's Canada
Murca
You lie
Lmao I never post on here but you guys make me laugh......whoever doesnt get the sarcastic "they are to trane UFC" is a fuckin idiot....
Well mma which means mixed martial arts no longer applies since most now train one way in the pentagon/hexagon etc, and that's why most now 'trane' ufc.
^what are you trying to say?^
^ wants to know it all but not smart enough.^
he obviously doesnt trane ufc
^i've got arrows pointing up^
I wish to be a traner someday
I got these te last time they were on the site. Pretty good but they leave hard to clean black stains on your legs for atleast the first few uses.
any chance of heavy bags?
with five shipping lol yea
sure, $1000 with only 5 shipping. lmk
Anybody know if these are OK to roll with for MMA or are they better for strictly stand up?
they are better for strictly standup, but there's no law against using them for mma sparring. you may have more trouble working your guard because these are fairly large. also they will probably slip around alot, but once you get back to your feet, straighten them out and start bangin again. if you really want shin guards for mma sparring get a pair with a full neoprene backing, that stops the slipping.
how do i know which size to get?
if you trane ufc you would know
This is what I'm talking about Aaron!!!! Loving the GEAR!!!! keep it coming!!!!
Just placed an order on these shin guards and noticed two problems from the website. One is that the final total was listed as $25 and not $29 and two after I had placed an order and was directed to the 'Your order has been placed' section, instead of showing the shin guards, it shows the picture of the Bad Boy shorts you guys were selling about a week ago. Just want to clarify that I ordered the shin guards and not the shorts....Hope this issue can be cleared up.
I would say their computer for some reason switched the item #'s. The Bad Boy shorts cost $25 so that would be the reason you saw that price as well.
I sure hope you are right Tangerine because even on my confirmation e-mail, it gave me the order number and a receipt of the shorts and not the shin guards.
jmk0774 - email cs@mmahq.com and we'll sort it out for you.
Aaron, I emailed your customer service email last night. Should I be expecting a return email sent to me to verify the corrections?
Yes, you'll get a response on Monday.
WTF, why would you wear these for jiujitsu?
I think there're more for judo.
You don't wear them for jiujitsu, you wear them to trane UFC.
I heard these protect your shins just in case someone punches em
u wear them for kickboxing or muay thai dolt.
pankration
These having nothing to with jiu-jitsu they are for mma sparring or kickboxing. also, there is nothing such thing as "training UFC". UFC is a promotion, not a sport. It's called MMA.
which moron thinks these are for judo
Must be this guy's ^^^^ first time on MMAHQ LoL
these are for wrestling you fucking idiots.
noo theyre for jump rope, just incase it gets too intense
Let me try, Dillan Crackhead Control
to protect yourself from shin splints when you condition to trane ufc
You wear these under your gi to stop those nasty jiu jitsu shin abrasions stupids.
You're all wrong! They're for Soccer!!
Don't you wear these on your forearms to help people trane my tie?
These are for Zumba dance!
Who's the douche stick that thinks UFC is not a style to trane! MMA? HAHAHA! Only posers train MMA! I trane UFC!

I got these last time they were on the site and they work really good against leg subs, although if somebody goes for your foot these provide almost no protection.
